Timbers vs. Montreal Impact!
This is the end to the weird day I was having. I bike back from the water front with one of the two thunderstorms Portland will have this year chasing me the whole way back. When I get in the door I check my email and see that my Media Pass is waiting at PGE park. I look out the window and see the monsoon outside. Sweet. Charge the camera battery and unload the destroyer pics. Find the rain gear and off I go! And it was totally worth it.

Timbers!
This was the second game that we went to. It seems the awesome Thirsty Thursday portions are gone this week and we were given what looked like 10 oz beer cups. Everyone was walking around beer akimbo, but I had to limit my intake. I just didn’t have enough hands to take pictures and drink two beers at once.
There were all sorts of awesome at this game. A Timbers win with a penalty kick in the TWO minute overage(overtime) time, with the opposing team’s goalie drawing a yellow card for stalling. Those of us that didn’t crowd into the smoking holding cell outside were also treated to an Oregon Beavers rugby match at halftime.
There is a possibility that I know a may know a lady that knows a guy that could get me a press pass to get onto the sidelines for another game. This is still in the planning stages though. Here’s to hoping they are foolish enough to let me down there…
New Galleries and .Plan
Uggg… After way too much time spent toiling with my new gallery setup, it has finally earned my stamp of approval (lol). If you look at the upper right hand corner of the page you will see a link to visit the Photo Galleries. I highly recommend that you take a look at the new shots from our trip to the Redwoods, especially the Damnation Creek Trail. I am also hoping to add picture from our trip to the Olympic Peninsula in this new style as well, so check back for that. Pending actual employment there is a good chance that I will be adding images on a regular basis!
Aside from the picture work I somehow got suckered into purchasing domain names for Dad. Over time we hope to develop (no pun intended, or was it?) a place for Tom to show off his photos and maybe even look into a small e-commerce unit for prints. Currently I only have his personal page parked and with splash screen, but after seeing how badly Godaddy is murdering his other domain name I am going to move that as quick as possible. All this and Laura is demanding Thai food tonight. No rest for the unemployed…
And finally because no one reads anything without a picture, check out how happy Timbers Joey gets when the Timbers score. I get the feeling he lives for that moment…
